Chantal sources fresh produce certified by the following certifying bodies in New Zealand. BIOGRO, CERTENZ(Agriquality), DEMETER (Biodynamic), OF NZ (Organic farm New Zealand), FNOG (Far north organic group). These last two bodies are operated under biogro standards, to provide smaller growers with a less costly overhead for certification.

All produce lines are meticulously labeled on entry and trackable back to the individual grower and/or farm. Most of the produce that arrives at Chantal, comes from local growers in the Hawke's Bay. One of the main brands is the Kaiwhenua Farms 'True Earth' label from Scott Lawson, one of the pioneers of larger scale organic growing.

Produce also arrives from various other regions around New Zealand, some from contracted growers, reflecting the variance in climate and growing conditions.

Produce is seasonal, and organic produce even more so, as chemical inputs to 'force' growth are avoided. We offer a full range of seasonal produce and other specialist lines. We occasionally makeup seasonal shortfalls by importing from the northern hemisphere and Australia. This is usually such items as onions, garlic, ginger, bananas etc. We offer a weekly list showing availability and prices to wholesale customers. Please contact us.
